About ONGCHA: ONGC Himalayan Association, an in-house adventure club of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, is a vibrant body which works towards promoting environmental awareness campaign and at the same time, ONGCHA works with the aim for reigniting the mind and the body of an individual to work for greater performance, building team spirit and mutual co-operation for organizational dynamism.

Quoting to the organization constitution, ONGCHA has some aims and objectives with scope of activities.

Aims and Objectives: The aims and objectives of the Association shall be as under:

·         To create and promote conditions of healthy harmonious team spirit and character building among the employees of ONGC.

·         To create the eternal desire, among the employees of ONGC, of knowing the unknown, exploring the unexplored, and conquer dimensions hidden in the regions of the great Himalayas.

·         To develop the spirit of adventure and courage to face the challenges of nature among the employees of ONGC by way of promoting healthy hiking, trekking and mountaineering activities among them.

·         To identify such of the employees as are genuinely interested in mountaineering and build from them a team that will bring credit to ONGC not only in the spheres of its normal activities but also in the sport of mountaineering.

·         To promote a love of the mountains among all sections of ONGC employees and their families.

Scope of the activities of ONGCHA: In a way to fulfill the above mentioned aims and objects, the association shall undertake the following assignments:

·         It shall organize hiking, trekking mountaineering activities and program for its members from time to time.

·         It shall provide an ideological, educational and professional base for undertaking hiking, trekking and mountaineering activities by way of organizing lectures, Seminars, training program, film/slide shows, exhibitions and such other educational activities in the above fields for its members and their families.

·         It shall raise the necessary monetary funds or seek other assistance/subsidy, donations for the above activities to invest any sum above Rs.10,00,000/- in the State Bank of India for the benefits/promotion of the Association.

The registered office the Association shall be located at the Headquarters of ONGC at Dehradun and hence, its address will be KDMIPE, Kaulagarh Road, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
